Learning Academy at FUMC, Garland

Research indicates that actively exploring and interacting with their environment help children learn - especially children between the ages of three and four. That's why Learning Academy provides plenty of active, learning opportunities; it's the proven way for children to develop their skills. To make sure each child develops a love of learning, we utilize research-based curriculum programs in our classrooms. Our infant, toddler, and two-year-old classes implement Frog Street Curriculum while our Pre-Kindergarten classes implement Zoo Phonics and Handwriting without Tears. Our program is based on current Texas Pre-K guidelines, and supported by an impressive body of research on how young children develop early math and pre-reading skills.
