About The Director
Prior to acquiring her Montessori certification from the American Montessori Society, Sunanda completed her collegiate tenure with a BA and Masters in English. She has a breadth of experience in working with children. The first example being her work as a parent-adviser at a Canadian elementary school; which was a first of many experiences in a culturally diverse student environment. Her understanding of early childhood learning was enriched once more in California, where she worked with emotionally and academically challenged students.
Upon moving to Washington State she volunteered again at an Issaquah elementary school, exemplifying her passion for helping students realize their personal best. Sunanda's current and most involved development as a teacher has taken its course at a Redmond Montessori school, where she has added her value as a teacher for several years. In her spare time, Sunanda loves to hike and bike with her family and friends.
Mission & Vision
Little Flower Day Care and Learning Center provides a safe, caring and developmentally appropriate, nurturing environment that aims at social, emotional and physical growth of each individual student while building self confidence and love for learning. Little Flower Day Care and Learning center is a preschool for children 2 to 6 years of age.
Philosophy & Curriculum
Equip your child with critical life skills through the Montessori method offered at LFLC. The curriculum focuses on the development of the whole child. This means that the program is developed to maximize your child's potential and lay a strong foundation for life. Between birth and the age of six children have a tremendous ability to learn and interpret the world around them. The child is receptive to certain external stimuli and the teacher will take advantage of this by providing activities that fulfill the needs and develop the intellect.
