I have a degree in Early Childhood Education, homeschooled my own children and am a proud Memaw to two awesome grandchildren, who I am fortunate enough to provide daycare for.
I believe that children learn best through natural exploration. Take a walk with a child and you will notice they stop to examine, explore and learn from things in nature that we pass by every day never taking notice of. They ask questions that educate us and open our minds at the same time. A child's explorations will expand the horizon of all of those around them.
I am in the Piney Point school district and am located in a Leonardtown home in a quiet, wooded area. We have a fenced play area, as well as a separate daycare room, with lots of opportunities for children to expand their horizon naturally and with guidance.
Our day consists of structured activities, crafts, as well as plenty of free play to allow our "little explorers" time to explore their horizon. Breakfast, lunch and two snacks a day are provided.
