Welcome to Lorfax Heights Playhouse, my intimate family child care and preschool program in Lorton, VA. My home-based daycare is located in the Lorfax Heights neighborhood, near Laurel Hill Golf Club. Your daily commute will be convenient since I have easy access to Lorton Rd (route 611), Ox Rd (route 123), and Henry Shirley Memorial Hwy (I-95).
About Me:
I’m the owner and main caregiver, and I run a small early childhood education program in a safe, intimate learning environment. I’m a professional daycare provider with 5 years of experience and an Associate's Degree in Child Care Education. I’m a passionate caregiver who wants to help families in the area by providing high-quality care at an affordable rate.
I have a large space dedicated to child care but will accept a maximum of 4 children, so you can be sure that your child will receive plenty of individualized attention. All kids attending my program are treated as if they were my own and equally. In addition to English, I also speak Farsi, Urdu, and Hindi and upon request, I can expose your child to these foreign languages (my daycare is not a bilingual program though).
Program:
Lorfax Heights Playhouse is a Play-based learning program offering full-time and part-time care for babies 6 months and up, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age kids up to 10 years old. Our young students learn numbers, shapes, colors, and more. They also have free play to develop physical and social skills. I provide lunch and snacks to all kids in my care and these are already included in the tuition.
Our health and safety procedures include sanitizing toilets, diaper stations, and the floors at the end of every day. Every other week, we also have the carpets steamed because they can hold germs from food and crumbs. Crib sheets and other linen items are also washed at the end of each day. Lastly, I maintain a peanut and tree-nut free environment to prevent any possible allergies!

Our son started attending August 2024 when his previous daycare closed. We were very nervous to find a new place with him being 15 months and being extremely aware of his surroundings and new people, but the owners immediately made it their mission to make us comfortable and answer the 100 questions we had. We had to start shortly after the tour, but the communication has been great. Our son loves going and will even close the door on us to hurry and play with his friends. We are so thankful to have found them. The large outside area, the gross motor play area, and the homemade meals are a super big plus!

We can't recommend Lorfax Playhouse enough for our five-month-old little one! From the very beginning, the communication has been fantastic. We receive regular updates throughout the day, including pictures, which puts our minds at ease knowing exactly how our son is doing.
Lorfax Playhouse goes above and beyond just keeping us informed. The owner is incredibly proactive in helping our son develop new skills by asking what we’re doing at home so she can reinforce those things during her time with him. She works on tummy time, grasping toys, and other age-appropriate activities, and it's clear she truly cares about our son’s development.
Beyond the exceptional care, what truly sets Lorfax Playhouse apart is the warmth of the environment. From the moment we met her and her husband, they have treated our son like one of their own, showering him with love and attention. Our son is always happy when we drop him off, and always in a peaceful mood when we come to pick him up, and that peace of mind is priceless for us as parents.

Selecting the right daycare for our child was a significant decision, but this provider made it effortless. Our 4 month old son attends daycare with this caregiver and we've had a great experience so far! She is very organized, communicative and you can tell she really cares about our son and is very comforting towards him. We feel confident that he is great hands and well cared for. She has asked about our routine and feeding/changing schedules to make sure he is cared for in the best way possible, and consistently with what we do at home. The daycare is also exceptionally clean and also very well organized and very safe. You can tell she has everything under control. She has even gone out of her way to purchase a couple of our son's favorite toys/pillows to use while he is there! We also really appreciate the daily texts/pictures/video's she sends of our son, it helps when we miss him all day! :)

I absolutely love this daycare. It has a very homey feeling! I know that my children are personally taken care of. It was the first time that my kids didn’t cry when I left, instead they turned around and said bye to me. Also, the caregiver is extremely professional and caring. I would recommend this daycare to anyone that is looking for quality care and great prices! keep up the excellent job. Thank You!!!
