Hello, parents! Welcome to Lorton Station Little Cottage, our warm and loving in-home daycare and preschool program in Lorton, VA. Our child care facility is conveniently located right off Lorton Station Blvd, with easy access to the I-95 and Richmond Hwy (route 1), making drop-offs and pick-ups easier for commuting parents. We're also near the Lorton VRE Station and Lorton Station Town Center.

At Lorton Station Little Cottage, we cater to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Our hours of operation are from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, providing ample time to commute to and from work. We offer a range of flexible child care programs to suit your family's needs. Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time care for your infant or toddler, or a more structured program for your preschooler, as well as before and after school care for your school-ager, we can accomodate (Lorton Station Elementary School is just a mile away).

I have over 20 years of experience in child care and education, and I'm truly passionate about children! I treat every child in my care as if they were my own. I love my job and am committed to being a positive influence in the lives of the children and families I work with. I hold a Child Development Associate’s degree and I’m CPR certified, ensuring that your child is always in safe hands. My journey in child care began over two decades ago, working at other licensed child care centers, and then as an assistant teacher in the Fairfax County Public Schools. After working in education and gaining valuable experience for so many years, I decided to open my own in-home daycare! Besides English, I also speak Urdu and Punjabi and can introduce foreign languages to your child if you wish.

At Lorton Station Little Cottage, we believe in a balanced approach to learning. Our teaching philosophies combine academic and play-based methods to create a rich and engaging environment for your child. We aim to foster creativity, social skills, and a love for learning in every child. From arts and crafts to story time, outdoor play, and educational games, our activities are designed to be both fun and enriching, helping your child learn and grow while having a great time! In addition to our structured activities, we also offer a cozy atmosphere where children can feel safe, comfortable, and loved – making our daycare feel like a second home.

Lorton Station Little Cottage is located in a single-family home, where we dedicate an entire level to our daycare activities. With a separate entry for our daycare and a fully fenced backyard, we provide a safe and secure environment for your little ones. Our daycare features a large room as the main activity area and a separate room for infants, ensuring age-appropriate spaces for all our children.
