The teachers are great, but the Director is horrible. I tried to make a report about another student hitting my child and tried to go to the teacher who was on duty that day to see if she knew anything about what took place, she literally interrupted my conversation with the teacher and told me that she would be the appropriate person to talk to (even though she works at the front office and was not on duty with the kids at the time was the incident), however when I went to her about it, she shunned the conversation and told me she had “more important things to worry about”. I proceeded to ask for the supervisors number and she told me she didn’t know it and that I needed to leave her office, I googled the supervisors number and got them on the phone and then she tried to get me kicked out of the BUILDING to hide behind the what she did. She then proceeded to lie to the supervisor, and said that I had a conversation about making the parent apologize to my child, to make it seem as if her actions were justifiable. That never happened. On the first day of school I remember the security guard telling me good luck at the school, because everyone’s always having problems with the Director and even during THIS situation, the janitor, and two other security guards said that they always have complaints about her and that she’s been rude to them on several occasions. The janitor even ended up saying “I can’t stand her. I thinks she’s racist” I ended up having to pull my daughter out of school early and calling out of work last minute because of this nonsense. I like the teachers at Tiny Dots but Telma Rojas is not a good example of what a child cares Director should be. If I’m leaving my child in the hands of other adults, I expect them to make sure that she is well taken care of and have a conversation about what’s important and get to the root of the issue when it comes to her safety. That is not what happened at all.
