Welcome to St. John's Nursery School; founded in 1961, St John’s Presbyterian Nursery school is one of the oldest, successfully play-based schools in West Los Angeles, under the gentle guidance and direction of Hanne Overbeck, Director, St John’s nursery school continues to flourish. COVID-19 Compliant - St. John’s is certified by the County of Los Angeles Public Health Department to be in adherence with all CDC, State, County and Local regulations. Classroom size has been limited to 12 children with two teachers in both the Full Time and Part time Programs. Learning by Doing - Fundamentally, it has been determined that children learn best by experimenting and learning from their mistakes. St. John’s continues to pride itself on teaching young children how to prepare for continuing education by gently learning through play such basics as Art, Letters, Math and Engineering. Children are continually challenged in unique ways that helps them to become self-assured and confident learners.
