The Treasured Child, Marblehead

The Treasured Child offers enrichment opportunities for young children between the ages of three months to five years. The setting is small and our purpose is to provide nurturing care in a loving home environment. The Treasured Child offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum which appeals to children’s constantly changing abilities and skills and is designed to guide each child through sensory-motor world of toddlers to an increasingly social world and the onset of symbolic thinking. The program appeals to children’s natural curiosity, nurtures their spontaneous thoughts and actions and encourages their creativity. The environment is well-planned, allowing for self-selected and self-directed play with small groups, learning centers, and story time/circle time with the whole group. Each child will experience a curriculum based on the circle of learning, language works, literature, math, science, social studies, creative arts, Music Together, physical and health education.
