Buyer Beware: When we interviewed Janet Fallon we found her to be incredibly warm and nurturing, however, that persona immediately disappeared upon signing the contract and our interactions turned from discussions of our child to discussions of her bottom line. Simply four days after starting, Janet told us that we could no longer pick our son up at 6:00 PM, despite this being the time listed on our signed contract, on her website, and discussed. She said that while the contract says she is open until 6:00, "we simply run out of energy" and can't care for a baby until 6:00. She said she would need more money to actually work until 6:00 (again, despite the contract). She asserted that we verbally promised her we would pick him up at 4:30 (a wildly inconceivable statement for two full-time working parents). We had to leave to find a daycare open until 6:00, and now she is currently suing us for $4,250 (two month's fees).
If money is no object, you’re open to picking your child up at earlier times, and the threat of a lawsuit does not bother you, then feel free to consider this daycare. We, however, are incensed that she’s running her business like this.
Best,
