Candidates for Pre-School and Pre-Kindergarten: St. Patrick School’s Pre-School and Pre-Kindergarten operate year-round (12 months), and offer two schedules for the convenience of our families: -Regular day is from 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. -Extended day is from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. -All families must provide proof of compliance with all Los Angeles County health department regulations before their child enters school. -All children entering public or private school in California for the first time must be immunized against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, poliomyelitis, rubella (rubeola), and HIB. Candidates for Kindergarten through Eighth Grade: -Our school term runs from mid-August through mid-June for Kindergarten through 8th grade. -Kindergarten candidates must be at least five years old by September 1 of the entrance year -A child may enter the first grade if he/she is 6 years old on or before September 1 of the current school year, and has satisfactorily completed the Kindergarten program in another school. -All incoming students who are transferring from another school may be required to take and pass an entrance test before they are enrolled at St. Patrick School. -Candidate’s current school must submit standardized test scores and the student’s transcript from the current, and past two years (if applicable) to St. Patrick School. -All families must provide proof of compliance with all Los Angeles County health department regulations before their child enter school. -All children entering public or private school in California for the first time must be immunized against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, poliomyelitis, rubella (rubeola), and HIB. Seventh-grade students must have current Tdap shot. -Baptismal certificates are required for students preparing for the sacraments of First Communion or Reconciliation. -Students of all faiths are welcome at St. Patrick School.
