Established in the fall of 1982, sponsored by the church as a self-sustaining non-profit, non-denominational entity, St. Peter's Nursery School has a rich history of serving the needs of families with toddlers and preschoolers. The school has grown from a traditional nursery school to one with 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-day options with flexible scheduling and extended hours developed to focus on the needs of each child and his/her family. In fact, we are now educating the children of former students!
Children are admitted from any religious, racial or economic background, regardless of disability, cultural heritage, national origin, parent's political beliefs, sexual orientation, or marital status.
Licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), we can accommodate as many as 33 children per day, September-June. In addition, we offer a six-week Summer Program for 2-6 year-old children during July and August.
We currently have a certified staff of 5 outstanding teachers. All staff members participate in Early Childhood coursework and workshops to stay current in the field. CORI reports are filed annually. Staff members are certified annually in Pediatric Plus - Infant and Child First Aid, CPR and AED.
