Kids' World Child Care and Learning Center's curriculum is directed by the KY Regulations, KY All STARS Standards of Quality, and the KY Early Learning Standards with additional guidance by NAEYC via the owner's membership. In the last four years, the facility has enlarged the old classroom spaces, added indoor/outdoor security cameras, moved the office to the front entrance, secured entry into the building with shatterproof glass and a buzz-in/intercom system, added outdoor lighting around the premises, and added a security system. We are located down the street from the Coal Run Police and Fire Departments as well as around the corner from Post 9 State Police Barracks. All of our teachers are child-oriented and must have continuing professional learning activities throughout the year. Each teacher is required to complete a yearly individual Professional Development plan which is aligned with KY's professional core knowledge and competencies. Weekly planning time is provided for writing Lesson Plans. Evaluation is continuous and provides feedback for improvement. Parent Surveys are implemented to assist in Center improvement.
