Welcome to Aspen Hill Park Children's Corner, a licensed in-home daycare and preschool located in the Aspen Hill Park neighborhood of Rockville, MD. We’re located conveniently off Aspen Hill Rd and Veirs Mill Rd, near Parklawn Local Park and Wheaton Woods Park.

Our hours of operation are from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and our child care facility welcomes infants (as young as newborns), all the way up to 5 year old preschoolers who are getting ready to take their first steps into the big world of kindergarten! We provide full-time and part-time care to accommodate your family’s needs, along with a preschool program that prepares your child for grade school.

I’m the owner and lead teacher at Aspen Hill Park Children's Corner. I hold certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration Training (MAT), and I’ve earned a Child Development Associate’s Degree. I work alongside two wonderful child care assistants who share my dedication to providing the best possible care for your children. One holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and the other has a Bachelor’s Degree in Languages and Psychology. Together, we have over 50 years of combined experience in early childhood education!

At Aspen Hill Park Children's Corner, we believe that learning should be fun, engaging, and tailored to each child’s unique needs and interests. Our bilingual Spanish and English daycare follows the Montessori teaching philosophy, where we focus on fostering independence, creativity, and a love for learning in a warm, supportive environment. Every day is filled with opportunities for your child to explore and grow through a mix of structured and unstructured play. During circle time, your child will engage in activities like using the calendar to learn about months, days, and seasons, enjoying story time, and practicing skills like cutting with scissors, counting, and identifying colors and shapes. Our activities are designed to help your child develop gross motor skills, social skills, and cognitive abilities in a fun, interactive way. Free-play activities are just as important as structured learning. Your child will enjoy singing and dancing, drawing and coloring, doing yoga, and solving puzzles. We also place a strong emphasis on social development, teaching children how to express themselves constructively, play in groups, and respect others.

Our child care facility includes a spacious playground, a multipurpose room, and a fenced backyard where children can enjoy outdoor play. We believe that fresh air and physical activity are key components of a healthy, happy childhood. Our daycare is a peanut-free and tree-nut-free facility to ensure the safety of all children, especially those with allergies. We also offer healthy snacks throughout the day (included in the tuition). We have video cameras installed in the daycare, and we use a communications app to keep parents informed about your child’s day. We’re proud to support our community, which is why we accept child care subsidy vouchers and offer a discount for military families.
