Hi parents, welcome to English Manor Educational Childcare, my family child care and preschool program in Rockville, MD. I’m the owner and lead teacher, and I have 13 years of child care and early education experience. I’m a mother myself, and I am CPR and first-aid certified. I provide child care and early education for infants as young as 8 months, and for toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old.
Our Program Highlights
- Comprehensive Curriculum: Our program offers a true early childhood education environment where our students learn shapes, colors, numbers, sing songs, enjoy various crafts, and read books.
- Bright and Engaging Environment: Our facility has a great bright space with warm details such as holiday cards and art projects hanging. We have great decor as well as toys and activity sets for infants and toddlers. There is a circle time center and tons of learning curriculum posted. Our space feels like a preschool classroom or learning center, and we use toys, flashcards, posters, books, and more to ensure children are learning. I take pride in having a wonderful child care space with a kitchen, play area, many arts and crafts, as well as a spare guest room with cots for naps and changing tables.
- Character Development: I also teach children manners and how to be good friends. I want them to be socially responsible and emotionally mature when they become school-aged. I also have a dog, a lovely and very friendly Golden Retriever!
- Hours Of Operation: My daycare hours are from 7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Please keep in mind hours of operation are firm. I offer both full-time and part-time daycare options, and have a play-based preschool program for preschoolers.
- Nutritious Meals: Lunch and snacks are included in the tuition for the children in my care.
- Before School Care: I also offer before school care for kindergarteners and 1st graders (the assigned elementary school is Lucy V Barnsley Elementary School, and we’re also very close to the Brookhaven Elementary School and Parkland Magnet Middle School.)
- COVID Safety: My COVID procedures include using a sanitizer spray and wipes throughout the day and washing hands before and after snacks and lunch. I clean my diaper station and other surfaces with bleach and water.

We have been taking our 2 year old son Christian to her house for a few months and it has been a great experience for our family.
Christian adores her and mentions her name often at home. Her house is beautiful, well layed out for the kids, the meals are healthy, and our 2 year is thriving. Her family is also very kind when we see them and highly recommend the this daycare.

As parents, we have been struggling to find the right child support for C, as the costs at large Daycare providers don't match the quality support that our child needs. For example, Child cried hysterically at drop-off even a year after initial enrollment in large Daycare provider. Needed to look for higher quality care for C. We found this caregiver on virtual search. Did multiple interviews by phone, searched online, read reviews, and fell in love with the high professionalism, empathy, sweet, motherly instincts you want for your child at this Family Child Care program. Manners matter. Development matters. Our C is thrilled to go to this daycare! She can connect with kids and parents at all ages. She is exactly what our C needs. So thankful and grateful to connect with her. I would recommend! 5 hearts!

My daughter loves her teacher at this Family Child Care. The arts and crafts, holiday celebrations, outdoor playtime, and music time are her favorites. A very clean and safe environment for kids. It’s a great sign when your child looks forward to daycare. Highly recommended.

She provides a loving and fun care environment. She makes a great effort to provide enriching arts and crafts activities, and she gets the kids outside a lot. She also provides nutritious and tasty food (our child charges in every morning to enjoy Ms. this provider's breakfast). This provider is easy to communicate with and our experience with her has been 100% great! We highly recommend her!

Our 3 yr old daughter has been with this provider for over a month and we are very happy with our decision to enroll her. Our main concern was that she had been almost exclusively at home with the mom and dad the whole pandemic lockdown, and we speak a second language at home, so we were a bit scared but hopeful she would interact well with others. Things couldn't have gone smoother, she goes to Childcare happy and enthusiastic every day. Would really recommend this Childcare services!

Our son has been in this provider care for about 6 months starting when he was about 6 months old. She's a compassionate and professional caregiver. Every morning, our baby smiles when he sees her and loves going to daycare. Particularly in this challenging year of the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been well-informed and communicative and has implemented appropriate safety precautions. We have never had any cause for concern in sending our son there as we have found her to be very responsible and conscientious. She's a lifesaver and we depend on her while we both continue to work at home full time.

This provider is an excellent provider. You can tell that she cares greatly for the kids and takes her role as a provider very seriously, following all the guidelines and staying up to date on her training. The communication is very good and the environment is loving, safe and fun/educational with plenty of toys, activities and crafts that keep the kids occupied.

We have had our son Ozzy in this daycare since this August, about a month before his third birthday. Prior to this, he had always had a nanny through a nanny service with his sister, who entered kindergarten this year. He has always had a bit of a fear of strangers and in the beginning there was a brief adjustment period, but we have noticed him come out of himself since he began at the daycare. He is the oldest, but there are two girls about half a year younger who are more vocal and I believe have been a good influence on him. This provider also seems to interact with them consistently, and often sends our son home with crafts they have done together. She also takes the children on periodic field trips and he seems happy to go to her home in the morning. Overall, we believe that this daycare has been a good choice for us, and are happy to have a place we can feel comfortable sending him during the day.

Our daughter has been with this provider since she first started daycare at 3 months old. After visiting the larger daycare centers recommended by friends, I quickly realized I couldn’t leave our baby in an institution. Desperately searching for options I thought about whether I might have to quit my job to stay home with our daughter. Then, we met this provider and after our initial visit I knew I could trust her with our little nugget. I also learned of the families who had brought multiple children to this provider in the past and watched them thrive. Victoria will turn three in several months—she is happy, healthy, and has continued to meet or exceed all of the developmental milestones for her age. She loves going to this provider and when we drop her off we feel like we’re leaving her with family. We are grateful to this provider for being such a great caretaker of our daughter and also a supportive partner in helping us raise our little girl.

Choosing someone to care for your child is the most important and the most difficult decision. We searched a long time to find someone who would provide a caring and nurturing "home away from home" type of environment for our little one. We found that in Miss B. Our little one would wake up each day, excited to go see her. I would leave for work everyday knowing that my child is being cared for in the same way at daycare as we do at home. Miss B genuinely puts her whole heart into her work. She spends time working with each child on developmental skills and does art projects as well as learning and gross motor activities with them. The environment is bright and engaging, as well as warm and like home...The best of both worlds.
I truly feel that we found the right place with Miss B, and would highly recommend her.

My son has been going full-time to this daycare since he was 6 months old. He is now 5. He has really enjoyed spending time at her daycare. He has learned many things including his colors, numbers, alphabet, and writing with the help of Ms. B. And he has created many art projects which he loves to bring home. She is a very kind, warm, and loving person. We couldn't be more happy with the decision to have him cared for by her. We highly recommend her as your daycare provider.

My twin girls were here from 3 months until 3 years. I always felt they were loved and well taken care of in her care. They enjoyed going here and were happy while they were there!

As you can see from my rating, I cannot recommend this provider highly enough! I was scared to leave my child with anyone, but I felt at ease when I came into her home. It's been 2 years since my daughter went there and she still asks to go back. The provider taught her how to say her ABCs before she was 2, she rotated toys in and out so the kids were always learning new things, and she got my daughter to nap regularly, which I was never able to do! She always fed them healthy balanced meals, took the kids outside to play and kept them engaged in new and fun projects. She is the most reliable, consistent and caring provider we have ever had and We miss her all the time now that we've moved!
