Here at Sheila's In Home Learning Program we provide a happy, creative environment that allows each child to develop at his/her own pace. The program emphasizes the love of learning in a non-competitive surroundings in which your child may select from a variety of choices. These learning materials, as well as the experience of the interaction on the cognitive, physical, and psychological abilities. The value of play in its various forms are an important learning opportunity in the program. Activities are divided into the following areas;
Practical life:
Task are realistic-chores of daily life, focusing on developing control over motor skills (ex: pouring, sponge squeezing, scrubbing, buttoning, learning to tie a shoe, etc).
Sensorial:
Refines the child's sensitivity and perception (ex: identifying big and small blocks, working with
puzzles).
Cultural:
Introduction to the world's sciences, art, and music.
