Northwood Park Little Children's House, Silver Spring

Dear parents: welcome to Northwood Park Little Children's House, my licensed home daycare and preschool in Silver Spring, MD. I am a mother myself, and as such, I strive to provide a safe, loving, and educational environment for your children. I’m a professional caregiver with 17 years of experience and I hold an Associate's Degree in Secretarial Science. I am CPR and First Aid certified, as well as MAT certified, so I can administer medication to your little one if needed. My goal is to offer you and your child more than just safe and high-quality child care. I will also provide the loving and nurturing environment that young children need, as well as the foundations for a life of learning!

At my family child care and preschool program, we provide care, but also focus on early childhood education. I take a play-based approach to early care and education so your child will partake in many fun and stimulating activities. However, our program is designed not only to entertain my little students, but also to help them learn and grow. Daily activities will include story time, math and science, arts and crafts, music, shapes, colors, reading books, sensory activities, tummy time, movement, and of course lots of play (indoor, and outdoors weather permitting). Our age-appropriate activities promote children’s early learning to build social, physical, and emotional development. My daycare has different rooms so everything is organized (i.e., kitchen where the children have their lunch and snacks, nap room, and main play room). My space is well decorated and furnished with bright carpets, wall decor, and educational charts posted. There are also larger toys, trucks, and activity sets for toddlers and smaller functional toys and blocks for infants and younger children.

Northwood Park Little Children's House is a year-round home-based daycare, open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm. I offer both full-time and part-time child care for children between the ages of 12 weeks through 5 years old (including a preschool curriculum for preschoolers). I can also provide before and after school care for older kids, up to 12 years old (my home is near Forest Knolls elementary school). We’re also open in the summer and have a fun summer camp program! I provide lunch and snacks (included in the tuition), and offer a peanut-free environment. If you have more than 1 child, I will offer a sibling discount, and I also offer a discount on the regular tuition for families with members of the military or teachers!

Northwood Park Little Children's House is conveniently located in the Northwood Park neighborhood in Silver Spring, MD. My home is just a few minutes away from the Capital Beltway (I-495), near University Blvd W and Colesville Rd.
