Cherry Hill Kiddie Corner is a licensed daycare in the Calverton area of Silver Spring, right off Cherry Hill Rd. With easy access to Columbia Pike (Route 29) and just minutes away from Maryland State Route 200 (Intercounty Connector toll road), our facility is conveniently located for your commute to work.
We open our doors from 7:00 am until 6:30 pm, ensuring that working families have a flexible schedule that fits their busy lives. We offer full-time and part-time care, for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
Our Caregiver
Our owner and primary caregiver has 18 years of hands-on experience and a bachelor’s degree in social work. She’s also certified in CPR and First Aid, ensuring a safe and secure environment for your little ones.
She treats each child like her own, fostering a home-like atmosphere where children feel loved, respected, and encouraged to explore their potential. Building strong relationships with both children and parents is one of her main goals!
Her journey in child care began early, taking care of her younger siblings and later working in a facility for adults with special needs for five years. She saw a need for quality child care options in her community and wanted to create a space where children can thrive, and families can feel supported.
Our Curriculum
We believe that play is the foundation of learning. Our play-based teaching philosophy encourages children to explore, discover, and develop essential skills in a fun and engaging way. With small group sizes, we can provide personalized attention to each child, tailoring activities to their individual interests and developmental stages.
At Cherry Hill Kiddie Corner, your child will enjoy a variety of activities that include Creative Activities (arts and crafts, imaginative play so children can express themselves creatively), and Early Literacy (we introduce the basics of reading and writing through interactive storytelling and hands-on activities).
We also focus on Physical Activities (outdoor playtime helps develop motor skills and promote a healthy lifestyle) as well as Social Interaction (children learn valuable social skills by interacting with their peers, building friendships, and learning to share and cooperate.)
We also prioritize teaching patience, respect, and kindness, laying the groundwork for lifelong positive behaviors. Our preschool program focuses on preparing your child for kindergarten through fun activities that promote learning and social interaction.
