About Our Center
Dear parents, welcome East Silver Spring Children's House, our small child care center and preschool in the East Silver Spring neighborhood. We're close to Piney Branch Rd and downtown Silver Spring, with easy access to major roads like Georgia Ave (Route 29), Philadelphia Ave (Hwy 410) and Colesville Rd, making our location convenient for your daily commute. Our licensed daycare is a warm, nurturing space designed for toddlers and preschoolers aged 18 months to 5 years old. We can also accommodate school-aged children up to 15 years old.
About Our Program
Our hours are from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. We understand that every family's schedule is unique, and that's why we offer a wide range of programs, including full-time care, part-time care, and drop-in care. We also offer before & after school (we're near East Silver Spring Elementary School) and a fun summer camp. Whether you’re in need of consistent, daily child care or occasional support, we have options that accommodate your family's needs. Transportation is also available to make your family’s experience as convenient as possible.
About Our Staff
Our team is committed to the well-being and development of your child, and we strive to provide a nurturing, safe environment. Our owner is a mom of two with a Child Development Associate's Degree and 10 years of experience, and the center's director is a mom of four with 25 years of experience and a Child Development Associate's Degree. Our lead teachers hold Bachelor's Degrees and have 7 to 8 years of experience. All our staff bring early childhood expertise and a passion for education!
About Our Curriculum
At East Silver Spring Children's House, our curriculum is designed to support the growth and development of children at every stage, and is based on children’s interests to ensure a personalized approach to learning. We incorporate English, Spanish, and American Sign Language to enrich the learning experience.
We're committed to nurturing emotional, cognitive, social, and physical development, with accommodations for special needs children available upon request. From arts to literacy development and physical activities outdoors, we balance educational growth with fun, ensuring that each child finds joy in learning. We are a peanut-free and treenut-free facility, and snacks are provided.

I drop my daughter off every morning knowing she is in good hands. She has learned so many new things. I truly love the diversity in students and staff. My daughter wakes up excited to go to school. She hasn’t missed one day. She loves her friends and her teachers. I highly recommend this center for children who are eager to learn and love to make new friends.

This daycare provider is warm and responsive. Our son enjoys going and sometimes does not want to leave! We appreciate that they work on kindergarten readiness, and we have seen growth in our son’s reading, writing, and math skills.

We love this childcare center! The staff is caring, attentive, and truly dedicated to each child’s well-being. This facility is an answered prayer, a gift from God! My son had behavioral challenges and it was hard keeping him enrolled in other schools. The teachers and owner are patient, experienced, and love what they do! My son just started a month ago and I am already seeing great progress with his emotional regulation, communication and writing skills. It's a great intimate environment, especially for children who are overstimulated by large classes. I can fill this comment section with so many positive things, but if you are looking for a safe and positive preschool with great education, experienced, patient, and loving teachers, this is the place for you and your child(ren)! I love this childcare facility!

The main thing I can say about this childcare center is that the staff, specifically the owner, really cares about my child's wellbeing. They are patient and understanding. My family went through some changes in the home and it affected my son's behavior for a month and the center was patient and understanding and did not shy away from a screaming kid. Everything is back to normal and he enjoys going to the center. They have a playground in the back and do activities with the kids that are fun and educational. I receive pictures via text sometimes during special activities. The center gives ample notification about closings. Only concern is the center sits right on a busy street and cars speed through. I am confident that my son will be ready for Prek because of them. They also potty train which is a plus.

This daycare is the best place for kids all the staff is friendly. when I drop my son at the daycare centre I feel like I left him at home with family members MY SON IS VERY HAPPY AND EXCITED EVERY TIME WHEN I DROP HIM AT THE DAYCARE.
