My name is Mercedes Pridgen and I am the owner/director at Pridgen Learning Center. My passion is child care and that resonates in the quality provided in our family child care home. I am a member of NAFCC, National Association of Family Child Care. I am also the president of NFFCCA, North Florida Family Child Care Association, which partipates in quarterly trainings and annual conferences to ensure continued quality care for our children. Pridgen Learning Center’s mission is to help children reach their highest potential by providing a safe and happy learning environment that will stimulate their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth. We offer loving care that focuses on each child as a unique and wonderful individual while helping to build high self-esteem as well as respecting others. Children have the opportunity to participate in a full range of activities such as outside play, dramatic play, creative arts/crafts, music, STEM activities, manipulative skills, and blocks. One of the most important roles I have is to help children reach key milestones which translates into key life skills
