The Hill Preschool, DC

Our philosophy is that children learn through play and socialization. Using characteristics of the Creative Curriculum and theme-based instruction, the children are introduced to and experience many aspects of learning. The focus is on the whole child, which means that the children will be given opportunities that allow for growth in all areas of development (social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language). During the child’s day at The Hill Preschool, time is scheduled that allow for small and large group activities. During this time, children can be observed singing, participating in fingerplays, music and movement. A small group activity might consist of a craft activity, cooking or a science experiment.
