Hi parents, welcome to Potomac Mills Children's Center, our beautiful, large daycare center and preschool in Woodbridge, VA! We're located right next to the Potomac Mills shopping mall (we're not inside the mall though), with easy access to Prince William Pkwy. Our child care facility is very accessible for commuters since we also have easy access to the I-95.
About Us:
At Potomac Mills Children's Center, we offer a fun, safe environment and provide the necessary support to ensure a healthy development throughout early childhood, the most critical and formative years of your child’s life!
Our daycare center and preschool is run by a mom of 4 with 17 years of experience (and 40 years of experience being a mom!), and her son who holds a Master's degree in clinical social work with a focus on the early childhood stages of life. He also has career study certificates in Early Childhood Development, as well as Infant & Toddler Care.
Curriculum:
Our mission is to provide a fun, nurturing, and safe environment for infants (as young as newborn babies), toddlers, preschoolers and children until 7 years old. We also strive to provide a highly engaging and stimulating atmosphere, by building relationships through educational and physical activities. Here, we will help your child become more creative, and more socially and emotionally capable!
We understand that the environment in which children grow up has a major impact on their fast-developing brains. In a world saturated by media like TV and the internet, our goal is to provide an environment full of sensory activities as well as individualized attention and engagement.
Teachers also engage our students in academic activities such as S.T.R.E.A.M IN3 (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), Spanish & Writing. We offer a preschool curriculum designed to prepare children for kindergarten, with parents receiving weekly updates on their children's academic progress and classroom behavior.
Program:
Potomac Mills Children's Center is open all year-round from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, including children with special needs. All kids attending full-time are provided with morning and afternoon snacks (included in the tuition).

We love this daycare center! We have been attending this daycare for a month but everyday is a new adventure for my little one; with well thought out activities and lots of fun included in the lessons. My son has learned so much so quickly. The teachers and administrators communicate well and are a pleasure to chit chat with in the halls.

My son has been attending this daycare part-time for the last 2.5 years. Since then, the teachers have worked with him to help him grow, learn, and make friends. They have also been very flexible with my work schedule, which constantly changes.

I feel so blessed to have found this daycare. They keep me posted on my daughter and are so up to date through the app so I know what is happening daily! They do so many fun activities for the children and allowing the parents to also be involved which I appreciate! I kept my daughter home for a year and was worried when I put her in daycare but this center allows me to feel good about putting her into a daycare!

I love this daycare center and so does my daughter! If I could give it 10 stars I would. The staff is amazing, very warm and caring. The director has demonstrated that he truly cares about the children’s growth and well being. I definitely made the right choice by choosing this daycare!

Our child attended daycare here from age 6 months to 1 year before we moved to Texas. The staff treated her like family and nicknamed her "Jellybean". Her development rapidly improved under their care, and we never had a fussy drop-off time as she was excited to go.

The teachers and owners are very genuine and care about the children and their well-being. My son had nothing but positive experiences with his teachers and peers. The environment was very clean and there was never a concern for his safety and learning day by day. I would recommend this school.

Our son is very happy with the Center. Every morning he gets very happy and exited to go to the daycare and when we drop him off he is smiling waiting to see who opens the door. He has improved his development and social skills.

My baby loves it here, every morning my baby go get his backpack just so we can go drop him off at the daycare. They are all super kind and friendly. Very nice facility and have a great and safe playground for all the kids. I will definitely recommend this daycare for anybody that is looking for a daycare.

My son is developmentally delayed and has been let go of other daycares before we found this one. They no how to treat him not only on his normal days but on his bad days as well. He loves all the teachers and gets excited whenever he sees them

I have 2 toddlers enrolled here and I’m very grateful that carelulu led me to them. The director, the teachers, and staff are compassionate and patient. During this pandemic, they have been safe and careful as well. I can see the growth in my boys which brings me joy. This place has personally touched my heart with all they have done for my boys beyond words can truly express.
Your children will be taken cared of, you’ll receive clear communication, children will be educated, and have peace of mind that they’ll be in good hands. They’re awesome.

Love this daycare! My son has been attending since he was three months old and absolutely loves it! He lights up when he is there and I feel so blessed that he is so well taken care of. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for child care, especially small babies as you will feel very much at ease.

My grandson has developmental issue and was behind his age group in social skills. At 2 other day cares the directors and teachers placed him in younger classes, and really did not engage him or include him with older children. When we were looking yet again for help, we heard about this place and after meeting with the provider and some teachers we agreed to a trial period. My grandson has flourished at this academy, and his social skills have greatly improved. He is with children his own age, and the teachers and the provider are helping him overcome his early development issues. I highly recommend this academy for any child, they are caring and nurturing in their approach to each child's care, and this is not another cookie cutter day care that just babysits your child, each day they show they're love and caring for the children under their watch. The only place better would be GG and Granddad's home. 5 stars isn't enough.

After searching what seemed like every daycare in the area I finally found the perfect place. My 3yr old daughter loves it here and gets so excited when I drop her off in the morning she literally says "I love this daycare!". The provider and staff are very warm and personable. They have been a huge help to me personally. They even go as far as sending me updates and pictures throughout the day. And as a parent things like that mean so much. Place is very clean and my daughter is well taken care of. Would definitely recommend 10/10.

Our two-year-old loves his daycare! He learns so many new things everyday, and has a blast playing with his friends and doing art projects. Its such a relief dropping him off knowing that hes happy and well cared for.

The staff is wonderful and communicative. Our son loves it here and at the age of two he is constantly coming home having learned something new. Its obvious they engage with the kids and are great with development. We were lucky to find them.

Our 3 year old son has attended for a year now, and we couldn't be happier with his care. He gets excited when we turn down their street and will shout, because he's so happy to see her each morning. We've had multiple afternoons where he doesn't want to leave as well because he's having too much fun with his teachers and friends. As an educator, I also really appreciate all of the time and energy put into learning through play. E learned his body parts through songs and playing with Mr. Potato head. Numerous times I've gone to pick him up, he's in the middle of a book, playing with a puzzle, or playing "ice cream store" with the others. We truly couldn't be happier with his overall care, meals provided, and all that he has learned this past year. All of the adults that work with the kids are awesome!

This daycare has been the biggest blessing. As a working full time mom, and breastfeeding, handing baby girl off to daycare was extremely hard. This provider has progress sheets on what she ate that day, activities etc per my request! I get pictures when I ask and videos! Lily is so loved and so cared for at this place. I feel so at ease leaving her in the care during the week. I don’t worry about anything. Seriously the best day care ever!!!

The providers & their staff are amazing. My son loved their daycare and developed so much in his time being there. He had a genuine relationship with them that made me feel safe with leaving him there everyday. Their innovative curriculum styles address every child’s needs both collectively and individually.The daycare center itself has a lot to offer to the infants and children. The provider was also very accomadating to our hectic schedules which was extremely helpful to me as a single mom.If it wasn’t for our move from the area, there is no way we would of parted ways! All around awesome!

There are no words to truly describe how wonderful the providers and all the staff are at the this center. My daughter has been with them since she was 6 weeks old and they have become a part of our family. She is so happy every day when we arrive and it just gives us piece of mind to know that she is being cared for so well. They provide structure to her daily activities and keep her both entertained and educated even beyond expectations for her age group. I highly recommend this care center.

Best daycare ever !!! Very clean, caring , effective communication and they teach my daughter. They treat her with care and so much love. I couldn’t ask for more as a parent . As a full-time working parents, leaving our 2 kids under the age of two in someone else's care every morning is one of the hardest things we have to do. Thanks to the teachers and staff I can feel better about leaving them because I know they are in the hands of caring professionals who cherish them. The teachers have been fantastic about keeping us up-to-date, sharing their funny moments and their latest achievements. And the best part is that we don't always have to wait till the end of the day. They send us texts and photos when they know it's a moment we wouldn't want to miss. The communication is great and always work with us in every request we have. A very organized and clean place

Our experience has been absolutely wonderful. Caregivers are excellent and very patient with my son. I get updates throughout the day so we know how much food our son ate and when they are doing different activities. They provide a safe, warm and loving environment for my son. They always communicate with me and never ignores my concerns. It is a huge relief to have found such a great place for our son.

My daughter has been attending for almost a month now and I cannot say enough good things about it. They have made my daughter's transition into daycare flawless and when I leave, I know without doubt that she will be well taken care of. The daycare facility is very clean and reflects their love for children. I love that the facility is organized based on the children's daily activities (learning area, play area and enclosed sleeping area). Mrs. S and her son bring the best of both worlds combining their experience and education to create a nurturing and educational environment. I highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a safe, trustworthy and reliable childcare provider for their child(ren).

We've used this caregiver as a back-up care provider for almost two years and couldn't be more pleased! During this time, I have had a satisfaction of seeing my children and her bond grow and believe that she is more than competent and experienced. Provider was able to follow my directions and schedules with the twins, made nutritious meals/snacks, and helped with various motor and developmental skills. I have had the highest confidence in her trustworthiness, judgment and always felt relaxed after leaving my kids in her supervision. In fact, she is more than a care-taker as she proved herself a member of our family!
