Thank you for your interest in Gateway Preschool Academy! Our mission is to provide a loving, Christian educational environment for children ages 18 months- Pre-K. Gateway Preschool Academy (GPA) will offer developmentally appropriate care and classroom learning designed to help each child develop physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. GPA will be staffed with caring, experienced teachers and assistants who will collectively strive to promote a loving and positive learning environment for each child who will be enrolled in our program. Our preschool will be offering a 2-day and 3-day option for the school year 2019-2020. Parents will have a choice of a Tuesday/Thursday or Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday option for their child to attend. The school year will run from September-May during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Our preschool calendar will coincide with the Wylie ISD school calendar. Our teaching staff will be well-trained in early education curriculum, meet state and local guidelines for licensing, and CPR/First Aid certified. We will use a Scope and Sequence for age appropriate academics. In addition to the Scope and Sequence, our staff will develop enhanced lesson plans that promote academic, social and spiritual growth. The Bible curriculum used is Dig In and will teach the bible in a year on a preschool level. GPA will maintain a commitment to providing a positive learning experience with age-appropriate activities and learning centers that will relate to specific units of study in their daily lesson plans. We will offer Chapel, introduction to Spanish, music and movement which will further promote both small and large group learning, coordination and social skills for each child.
