Jamila Shah Family Child Care is a year-round home-based daycare in Alexandria, VA. Our family child care program is run by Jamila Shah who has 15 years of child care experience. We are open from 7:00am until 5:30pm and care for children as young as 0 weeks through 5 years old.
We offer preschool, as well as, both full time and part time child care. We teach the kids numbers, shapes, colors, and animals. We also read books and sing songs during circle time each morning, and I engage them in craft activities. In addition to English, we also speak Urdu and Pashto and can teach your child these foreign languages upon your request.

I’m a new mom and felt at ease with my baby in the care of this Family Child Care. The owner provided premium care, healthy snacks, and genuinely care for the children in her care. Her home provided plenty of indoor and outdoor space for children to express their creativity safely.

I'm a first time mom, so finding a safe daycare for my son was very important. I met with the family on the tour and had a great feeling. Their home is always welcoming and they treat my son as if he's a part of their family. He has been attending their daycare for two months. It's also good to see their own kids are happy. It's a small daycare, so I'm glad that my son can get the attention as needed. It brings me joy that my now 6 month old is safe in their hands.

I was taking my son to a Spanish immersive school before here and it was a nightmare. I was so happy to find them and my son loves going to see them. I know he’s safe, fed and happy every time he goes. And I love how it’s small and family ran so he is not only getting the attention he needs at his age but also seeing a nice stable family dynamic, which is so important at his age!
