Our facility is a Family Home Childcare for children up to 5 years old (toddlers 2-5 years old). We have been in service for 23 years at the same location near NIH and Walter Reed Hospital (between Old Georgetown Rd & Rockville Pike). Our facility is on the yard level with plenty of sunlight and has a spacious playground in the fenced backyard.
I am Licensed for up to eight children by the State of Maryland Childcare Administration. I have one full-time certified assistant and two certified part-time assistants that work with me. I was an honor graduate in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland, College Park, and was the lead teacher for four years at Easter Seals Childcare Center at the National Archives (NARA), in College Park, Maryland.
My program is a comprehensive approach that addresses the developmental needs of children through their early growing years. I conduct daily circle time, work with children on language and number skills, and we do lots of daily arts and crafts. My program, also, includes plenty of creative and interactive playtime activities for children. Details are provided upon visit. I have numerous letters of recommendation from parents. Hours of operation are 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM -- Monday thru Friday.

Ms. Shohreh took care of our daughter for about 3 years. She has been a wonderful and most caring teacher anyone can ask for. My husband and I highly recommend her for all families. Our daughter has learned so much and now she is ready for Kindergarten. Thank you so very much Ms. Shohreh. Our daughter already misses you a great deal.

Shohreh cared for our first daughter for 3 years. Finding a childcare provider was very stressful but we were immediately at ease when we met Shohreh. She cares for these children as if they were her own. Unlike other facilities, Shohreh is flexible to your needs. i highly recommend you send your child to Shohreh’s.

Shohreh’s is fantastic! My daughter has been there more than two years and would be staying longer if we weren’t moving to Delaware. honestly, the only anxiety I had about moving our family was that we would be leaving the happy, comforting, friendly, flexible environment that is Shohreh’s! Shohreh is amazing, she has been understanding and flexible to all of our needs. she truly cares for my daughter. my daughter adores her friends, teachers, circle time, and especially playing in Shohreh’s huge backyard! I’ve recommended Shohreh’s to multiple friends and love the little girl my baby has become with Shohreh’s instruction.

Miss Shohreh provides loving and nurturing care for her students. She is positive and encouraging. My three-year old loves going to school.
My daughter enjoys the daily circle time with stories and music. Miss Shohreh teaches the students early literacy skills (initial sounds, letters, rhyming) and math skills (patterning, counting, colors, number recognition). They do units of study that are related to the seasons and holidays. They also spend a good deal of time outdoors. There is a large fenced yard with a plethora of toys and equipment.
Miss Shohreh has created a warm community. The children genuinely care about each other. The families are very friendly.

Highly recommend this daycare! Shohreh is very experienced in looking after and teaching kids, she loves kids and always has a good way to educate kids, she is very professional, actually we parents learn a lot from her about how to get along with kids. And she has various interesting learning topics for the kids during the year. Also the daycare has large indoor and outdoor play space with many toys and facilities. My daughter has a very happy time in Shohresh's daycare, she doesn't want to leave in the afternoon when I pick up her, sometimes she asks to go to Shohreh's at weekend. So if you are looking for a daycare, highly recommend contacting her for a tour!

Would highly recommend this daycare! Shoreh is very gentle with children and creates such a warm, safe and fun atmosphere for them. She has many years of experience in looking after infants, toddlers and young children and it shows in her daily interactions. We never had any doubts about having our son there and saying goodbye to him each day- we knew he would be in good hands! Our son looked forward to going to daycare every day and interacting with Shoreh and the other children. Shoreh also has a responsible curriculum to teach the children and interactive activities with craft projects that propels their learning and development. And for our son, she especially helped him as he was going through potty training to reinforce what we started at home. We really appreciate everything Shoreh has done for us, and again highly recommend her daycare to other parents out there!

We're a military family, and one of the hardest things about moving frequently is finding quality childcare at each new location. We absolutely lucked out with Shohreh and Anna Maria. At our last location, my now 3-year-old daughter went to a center and she cried every morning when I dropped her off. Now she NEVER cries when I drop her off. She says, "A hug and a kiss, Mommy" and she's off to join her friends. On the rare occasion when she's upset by me leaving, Shohreh warmly comforts her until she's calm again. One morning recently on the way to daycare, my daughter said, "I love Shohreh." There's no better endorsement for a childcare provider than that! And as a parent, it's wonderful to go to work every day knowing your daughter is well-cared for AND loved. Unfortunately, we're moving again after just 1 year here and I'm very sad we have to leave Shohreh and Anna Maria. I wish they could move with us. If you're also a military (Army) family, Shohreh is a GSA-approved provider. This daycare is truly wonderful.

There are not two more wonderful people in the world than Shorheh and Anna Maria! They were the best partners (the term daycare providers just doesn't fit) I could have ever dreamed of when it came to helping my husband and me in raising our two children. Joyful, compassionate, caring, creative, engaging, gentle, humorous, and loving. Any family who is lucky enough to find Shorheh and Anna Maria - will immediately realize how incredibly blessed and fortunate they are to have become part of this special family!

It would be impossible to find a daycare better Shohreh's. I have one child currently with Shohreh, and one older child who 'graduated' from Shohreh's. Not only does Shohreh (along with our beloved Anamaria) create an amazingly loving environment, but she does a perfect job preparing children for the academics of kindergarten. I will never be able to thank Shohreh enough for providing such a wonderful setting for my young kids.

I don’t know where to start. Shohreh cared for all three of our children from age 6months to between 4-5 years old (my youngest recently left for pre-k), so she has been part of our family for 13 years! She is kind, caring, and helped us raise children who are caring, kind, attentive, and ready for kindergarten. When my son was an infant he had a hard time transitioning to a bottle—she worked with him so patiently, and gave us a quiet place to nurse in the mornings and at pickup during the transition to make sure he got the nutrients he needed. I have nothing negative to say. We feel lucky all the time to have come across Shohreh 13 years ago! My kids still talk about her and want to visit.
