The Children's Centre offers a wonderful pre-school program that influences your child by what he or she experiences and hears. Our staff works hard to provide a fun and educational learning environment for your little one. Our staff is dedicated to giving your child a great experience while involved in our pre-school program. We believe in leading by example and we vow to always be a positive influence on your child. Our program has a large sensory area for your child to explore. From building blocks to utilizing our housekeeping center, your preschooler will never be bored. We make learning fun! Circle time, teacher lead activities, story time and free play, make up a good portion of the school day. Each day brings a new topic and new adventures to learn about. Your child will learn valuable lessons and life skills while in our care. After pre-school, but before kindergarten comes the pre-k program. The Children's Centre offers a wonderful opportunity for your child to learn basic handwriting, counting, and other cognitive skills before embarking upon the road to kindergarten. Your child will learn the foundation of becoming a beginning reader. From learning new word families to daily reading exercises, your little one will gladly make books his new best friend. Touching, smelling, and seeing have been your child’s way of exploring from the time he has been an infant. At pre-k, we teach your child to write his thoughts on paper through journaling. After your child completes our pre-k program, he/she will be ready to begin school at a private or public kindergarten facility. We pave the way for your child's academic future and we have fun while doing so. We offer plenty of fun when school lets out! Our summer camp and programs are perfect for summer time fun and gives your child a safe place to hang out while you are working or at school. Our facility is located on two-acres of fun. We have plenty of room for running, jumping, playing, entertaining activities, soccer and basketball games. Your child will enjoy a variety of sports. We also have a large rock climbing wall. When it's time to come indoors, we offer an array of activities such as weekly themes and a wide selection of arts and crafts, board games, and many cooperative learning experiences. We offer educational resources for both preschoolers and pre-k aged children. Math Your child will be introduced to the theories of sets, one-to-one correspondence, counting, and the assignment of value through the use of manipulatives. Science We expose your child to age appropriate experimentation, which introduces them to the wonderful world of science, theories, and exploration.
