About Me
Welcome to Burke Centre Children’s Corner, your child’s home away from home in Burke, VA! With 25 years of experience, I started this daycare out of a passion for nurturing and helping children develop. Coming from a big family, caring for children has always been a natural part of my life. As a responsible, loving, and protective caregiver, I understand that each child is unique and deserves individual attention. My commitment to cleanliness and organization ensures a safe and welcoming environment for your child.
Our Program
At Burke Centre Children’s Corner, we cater to children from 4 months to 5 years, including those with special needs (please inquire for more details). Our hours are from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and we're here to provide the best care and education for your little one. Our program offers Full-time and Part-time care, as well as Before School Care, and After School Care options.
Nutrition & Philosophy
Nutrition is key to a child's growth, and we provide all meals, including breakfast (for children arriving before 8:30 am), lunch, and snacks. We take pride in serving wholesome and delicious meals to fuel your child's day.
At Burke Centre Children’s Corner, we believe in positive guidance. Our approach to discipline combines love, consistency, and firmness. We regularly remind our little ones of the daycare rules to ensure a safe and happy environment for everyone. We understand the importance of potty training and work collaboratively with parents to ensure a smooth transition for your child.
Our Curriculum
We are proud to offer a bilingual Spanish and English program, enriching your child's language development. Our activities are diverse and include arts & crafts, music, math, stories, and games. We also introduce letters, shapes, colors, and numbers through a monthly theme format, ensuring your child is engaged and learning in a fun way.
Our Day-to-Day
Our typical day starts with kids arriving and following in a routine of washing hands and enjoying a nutritious breakfast. After breakfast, we engage in arts and music, followed by outdoor activities. After lunch and a restful nap, we head to the playground for some fresh air and fun (weather permitting). Our activities are tailored to support walking stimulation for infants and young toddlers, and for the older children, we focus on learning shapes, words, numbers, and more.
Our Location
Burke Centre Children’s Corner is located right off Burke Center Pkwy. Our full-floor daycare space is dedicated exclusively to child care, featuring a separate nap room, a fenced backyard, and a playground. Our location is ideal for families residing near Terra Centre Elementary School and the Burke Town Center shopping mall. With easy access to Fairfax County Parkway and Ox Rd, our daycare is a convenient choice for your daily commute.

We absolutely love this caregiver! She is so kind and nurturing to our girls. They look forward to going everyday and come home so happy and excited to share about their day! Her facility is so beautifully-maintained, clean, welcoming, and kid-friendly. We are so thankful to have found her — she has been such a blessing to our family!

I don’t know how to write a review that captures how much this caregiver means to our family! She has been caring for our daughter since she was 8 months old (now almost 2.5yo) and we cannot recommend her enough. She is caring, patient, and attentive. She keeps us informed every day about how the day went. Her home facility is always clean, well lit, and safe - and is a peaceful place that our daughter loves going to. They play outside almost every day. They do crafts and celebrate birthdays and holidays together. When looking for a care provider, we were looking for safety, trust, and reasonably priced - we are so lucky that we also found someone who loves our daughter and is truly on our team in giving her the best.

We absolutely loved this caregiver and trusted her completely. She cared for our children from 12 weeks to 3 years old when they went to preschool. We trusted her completely. Her patience, genuine love for children, and big heart are unmatched.
Our kids loved playing in her play area and back yard. She made the most delicious meals and snacks for them. She created structure and followed a schedule while being flexible and loving first.
We miss her dearly and talk about her often.

She is the most special, loving caregiver in the entire world! She was with us for 3 years as the most trustworthy, incredible person that loved our daughter like her own. There was not one minute of any day I ever worried. When she opened the home daycare I gave two references to two families that stayed with her for 3+ years and even followed up with me months later to say thank you and what an amazing caregiver she was and how happy they were with her daycare. Could not recommend her more highly!!!!!!
