We are extremely proud of our Montessori School and of our early childhood education program. We offer child care starting with infants as young as 6 weeks, but are not merely a daycare center. Rather, we are a Montessori School with a quality early learning program. We strongly believe that learning should start a very young age, and we thus provide children with all the tools they need to start their education.
Our teachers are experienced , certified, and highly-qualified to provide top-notch early education and nurturing child care. Our director has 20 years of experience in child care and early education. She has an Early Childhood Education certificate from the American Montessori Society as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in social work. All staff and teachers are CPR and First-aid certified, as well as MAT trained.
Philosophy and Curriculum:
We believe that the goal of early education is to foster a life-long love of learning and help children build confidence and independence. As a Montessori School, we also believe that each child is unique and thus provide individualized attention and activities, tailored to each child's specific needs. Our classrooms are specifically designed to provide the right growth learning environment for each child and we have created an age-appropriate curriculum for children based on their developmental milestones:
*Infants: This stage is considered one of the most important period of a child’s life. This is a time when they should feel loved and guided as they learn, grow and explore new things. We have dedicated and experienced caregivers who will nurture and guide your child throughout the process. Our loving and nurturing environment will also make them feel secure at all times.
*Toddlers: Our toddler program helps children to become independent. At this stage, we expose students to many sensory activities to help them develop and master their five senses. We use many activities to learn concepts such as shape and size, texture, color, smell, etc. We also focus on learning life skills to help children gain independence and confidence. We strive to offer a nurturing environment and encouraging activities that foster interactions, but also help children care for themselves, thus becoming more independent.
*Preschoolers: once they graduate from the toddler class, preschoolers continue to work on developing their life skills and independence. However, in the preschoolers' class, children are also introduced to more academic activities such as Science and early Mathematics (we use early learning materials and exercises to introduce students to concepts such as addition or subtraction). We also focus on language learning with many reading and writing activities as well as fun exercises to develop their vocabulary.
