About

Cradlerock Children's Center (CCC) is a non-profit child care center accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education and Excel level 5. We are committed to excellence, offering a high-quality education and care program that nurtures and stimulates our young learners placing greater emphasis on the social and emotional grounding of young children. The CCC program promotes social, emotional, and intellectual growth while emboldening each child to develop at his/her own rate. We also know that children need to feel safe and loved in order to reach out to those around them. By fostering positive and nurturing interactions, our teachers help children build a bond of trust and caring, which forms a foundation for learning throughout life. For our parents, families and community, we have built a genuine, family-centered organization where quality educational resources such as workshops, conferences, and practical support are readily accessible.

I highly recommend the CCC. My wife and I have had both of our children (Alister and Willow) enrolled since they were about 13 weeks old; now almost 2 and 4 years old. We have had great relationships with the children's teachers as they have progressed through age groups/classes. Our kids have visibly and verbally loved their teachers, who always seem to care and show interest in the kids development in and beyond the classroom. We see their updated lesson plans, and how the lessons translate to skills. For example, both our toddlers picked up sign language for some of the difficult-to-learn words that toddlers so badly want to speak, but can't. They also sing and respond well to songs about "clean-up" and "this-is-the-way-we-wash-our-hands / brush-our-teeth". Alister often mentions that he likes school and his friends, and we are happy to send him here.

Wonderful environment with caring teachers and staff. Great value, MD state accredited curriculum, and with a focus on the social and emotional needs of the children in addition to academics! I love the familial atmosphere as well as the diversity of both the staff and the children enrolled. It's just a great place to leave my children to grow both academically and socially.

My son attended Cradlerock Children’s Center from when he was 2 years old till 4. It was an amazing experience. Communication with the teachers was great as they were always receptive. My son looked forward to going to school everyday. Sadly we had to leave because we moved away from the area.

Overall, our family was very pleased with how our son's experience at CCC. Teachers communicated well and consistently; kids got playground time frequently; food allergies were respected and addressed... Events such as Mothers' Day Tea and Fathers' Day BBQ gave teachers the opportunity to display to families how much they care about the kids, and families were able to meet each other. Our only are that we could say has "room for improvement" was the curriculum -- we did not feel our son was challenged academically. Socially, he was treated with respect and learned how to respect others, listen to directions, be part of a team, etc...so that was really important. CCC staff is caring and understanding in urgent situations... Kids benefit from the extracurricular activities such as Music, Spanish, and Funtastic Fitness classes (just be sure to calculate the expenses into your budget). Overall, we are very happy with our experience with CCC and will likely send our younger daughter here when she is "of age."
