We provide children with a loving and caring family environment while making available to them the opportunities to learn and grown as they explore the world around them. My belief is that my family childcare is a complement to your family unit.
I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Fairfax County Child Care Permit. I am an active member of national and local childcare associations, such as The Virginia Alliance of Family Child Care Associations (VAFCCA), the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC), and the Burke Child Care Connection (BCCC). I have current certifications in Adult and Pediatric First Aid and CPR and 23 years experience with children - along with raising my own two grown daughters.
We believe young children learn through PLAY and at their individual pace. Our environment offers stimulating and age appropriate activities. While promoting good health and safety, we practice daily - Patience, sharing responsibility, compassion for self and others, communication and teamwork. We participate in the nutritious USDA Food Program providing breakfast, lunch, and AM & PM snacks in a clean, safe, and nurturing environment.

I enthusiastically recommend Lisa Amaral’s in-home child care center, Young Branches Child Care. Five months after the birth of our first daughter, I had to return to work. My husband and I were overjoyed to find Young Branches Child Care after a long search of looking for the “perfect” spot where we knew our daughter would be in a safe, nurturing environment. I have been exceedingly happy with the care and education she has provided for my child.
Mrs. Lisa has turned her entire basement into a child care facility. She has an organized schedule for my daughter which includes education, breakfast, indoor play time, outside time, story time, lunch, snacks and nap times. In the time I have known Mrs. Lisa, I have found her to be a very hard working, dedicated, conscientious and responsible caregiver for my daughter. She possesses the qualities that I as a mother could hope to find in a caregiver; understanding the needs to my child, patience, imagination, high energy level and tenderness.
I encourage you to schedule a site visit at Young Branches Child Care and take the time to look around and meet with Mrs. Lisa. From experience, I know how difficult it is to leave your children in someone else’s care and finding a child care provider you can trust is vital. As stated earlier, I have been exceedingly happy with the love and care Mrs. Lisa has provided to my daughter. I am expecting another little girl in June and feel confident and comfortable that I will continue to use Young Branches Child Care for both of my children!
