Poole Pride & Joy Daycare, Fort Washington

We were referred to Poole Pride & Joy daycare by one of my closest mom friends. I’ve always valued and respected her opinion so I knew we were in good hands. Our daughter was very shy and didn’t talk much when she started. As a new mom, I was very concerned. In a few short months we started to notice her slowly coming out of her shell. Her personality blossomed over time; we were all shocked and pleased. In my heart I know this was, in part, due to the safe and nurturing environment provided by Mrs. Poole. After our initial visit, all of our cares or concerns were laid to rest. Mrs. Poole is one of the sweetest and calmest person I know. Her gentle, loving and caring spirit is unmatched. Mrs. Poole was the first person to watch our daughter outside of my mom and mom-in-love. My daughter quickly fell in love with Mrs Poole. The kids love her cooking and healthy snacks! She takes the kids outside almost everyday, weather permitting. Circle time and the bouncy house was a fan favorite! She provides great all around care, rest assure your child will be in good hands. PPJ is an in-home daycare, there are no cameras. This was the only concern or con that I had. Yet, after a few weeks, my fears were eased. Mrs Poole does send pictures and videos throughout the day—when possible. If you’re a little anxious you can even text her and she’ll respond with cute pics/videos. We made the decision to send our daughter to pre-k3 and that’s the only reason my daughter no longer attends PPJ daycare. It was an emotional transition for my husband and I. We knew that no one would take care of our child the way Mrs Poole had. My daughter still misses “Nanoo” and talks about her frequently. We were with PPJ daycare around 1.5 years, til this day we still consider her apart of our village. My husband and I are hard to please; particularly when it comes to our daughter. If you’re looking for a place to send your child, look no further! I promise you! PPJ daycare prices can’t be beat, especially considering the quality of care Mrs. Poole provides.

Mrs. Poole was AMAZING. My daughter loved going to see her "Nanu" and often would not want to leave. Her social and academic development was amazing and she learned a lot, while also having The meals and snacks provided were healthy and accommodating. When we left my daughter continued to ask how Mrs. Poole was and when she could go back. Highly recommend. 5/5.

Wow. Where to begin...first I am a momma bear...helicopter mom whatever you want to call it...Mrs. Poole is very patient, knowledgeable regarding children, wise, loves the outdoors, models healthy eating for the children and the children love her! You definitely will be very pleased with this childcare home!
