At Beth Sholom ECC, we believe that every young child is a creative, responsive and intelligent individual. Development of young children into creative, responsive and intelligent adults requires attentive and loving guidance from caring teachers and parents. Our goal is to provide a program in which every child can flourish in a warm and loving Jewish atmosphere. Our curriculum is innovative and project-based, fashioned around the Reggio Emilia curriculum from Italy. This approach is centered on principles of respect, responsibility and community through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment. Topics are based on the interests of the children, who have the opportunity to choose how deeply they wish to delve into them. Math, science, language and literacy are all incorporated into each unit. Our approach is “learning through playing” in a stress-free setting that reinforces a familiarity with Hebrew and Judaism, holidays, prayers and customs.
