St Matthew's Parish Day School, Hyattsville

Saint Matthew’s Parish Day School was founded in 1955 and is a venture in Christian education for preschool children. We strive to nurture the whole child and help them to grow in mind, body, and spirit through developmentally appropriate practices. We offer preschool classes for children aged 2 to 4 years, with a 2, 3, or 5 day option for these classes. There is also a five day Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten class for 4 and 5 year olds. Children in this class must meet the state age requirement (Pre-K four year olds must be 4 years old by September 1st and Kindergarteners must be 5 years old by September 1st. The preschool class hours are from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, the Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten class is from 9:00 to 2:30 pm. We also provide day care for enrolled children who need an all day program. Before and aftercare hours begin at 7:30 am and end at 6:00 pm. Our program accepts children who are 2 years old through Kindergarten age (6 years old). The school offers before and after care for our students every day from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. This program operates year round, beginning July 1st and extending to the end of June of the following year. Parents have the option of enrolling their child in this program for 10 months (September through June) or 12 months (July 1st through June 30th).
