Welcome to Rising Generations Early Learning Center where we help your child make big strides in learning! Our goal is to provide your child with quality care and a strong educational foundation. Preschool Discovery areas are key in our preschool classrooms. These areas are designed to provide the children with opportunities to act out life’s every day experiences through creative and imaginative play. Although learning through play is the primary concept of the preschool program, teacher guided activities are also an essential component of the program. Evaluative progress reports are performed and discussed with parents on a regular basis. Rising Generations’ program allows the parents to work with the teacher in determining each child’s individual needs. Pre-Kindergarten Our goal is to prepare the students for entry into kindergarten. The program is structured and teaches reading and math readiness, handwriting, sight words and phonics. The students are introduced to foreign language, sign language and basic computer skills. Infant/Toddler Infants and toddlers require lots of tender loving care. In an effort to meet their needs, we keep our staff/child ratio and group sizes low. Infant rooms are arranged so that mobile infants are able to move about freely and explore their environment while immobile infants are provided safe areas equipped with a variety of toys to stimulate development. Toddler rooms are designed to provide adequate space to stimulate gross motor development. Activities and materials which promote discovery, exploration and interaction are essential parts of the toddler program. Summer Camp Program Rising Generations operates as an early learning center throughout the school year (September – May). The teachers and students work diligently during the year with their rigorous academic curricula. Therefore, during the summer months (June – August) the program is converted to a summer camp program. The purpose of our summer camp program is to provide a relaxed yet structured environment of fun for the students and the teachers. The students take a break from learning through rigorous academic sessions and experience learning through planned activities which they can enjoy together. Both the academic sessions and the camp sessions compliment one another in continuing with the development of the total child. The summer program is filled with many theme driven hands-on activities such as: Field Trips on Professional Coach Buses (Prohibited during COVID-19 pandemic.) Arts and Crafts Picnics Cooking Music Entertainers Artists Healthy Meals Academic Review Open Enrollment is available to children ages 2 to 6 years old during the summer camp program from June to August. Rules and regulations for the classrooms are established and discussed with the children. We also model and praise appropriates behavior. The children are allowed to make independent choices during some of their playtime. The goal is to achieve independence and self-control. Our programs are designed to provide a positive beginning that will follow each child throughout his/her life.
