I will start off with what I found to be decent about this facility: the convenience. Easy to get to and within close proximity to my other children's schools. Nidia and her husband are very nice, warm and inviting. Facilities seem clean from what I recall, I believe due to Covid, very little opportunity to come into space for the obvious reasons. Curriculum wise, I'm not exactly sure if there is a daily agenda, but I do know that paintings, colorings, etc. do come home quite frequently, so kids do have activities.
Let me preface this last part by being honest, and saying my child was terminated due to "lack of payment". Payment is due every week. I missed payment by four days. Reason being I was away on holiday, ran into cellular (among many other) issues and therefore could not effectively communicate with Nidia. I did notify Nidia approximately 4-6 weeks in advance of our trip aboard and yes, in order to keep my spot, I need to continue FULL weekly payments. I agreed however again, ran into a snag. the week prior to our departure - in addition to a couple of days the week prior, Nidia sent a text message caught Covid and subsequently closed the entire facility. Given, she came down with Covid, she apologized for the inconvenience and explained via text the tuition will be "adjusted" but no follow up. The following week, while we were on holiday, with which a text message saying the day care will be "terminating your child care with us for no payment. Payment is due every Monday." So, to recap, day care provider out for 7 business days prior to our holiday and was told tuition would be adjusted but no follow up on how much. Following week, I am four days late to hold a spot for my son, and I'm terminated. I thought there would have been some understanding and I would've hoped Nidia knew my integrity enough to know I would absolutely pay her were it not for my issues abroad. Well, I understood her position and asked for the rest of my son's belongings to be packed for pickup. What I found was more than just unsettling. One of the sippy cups that remained at the day care was filled with juice crust and mold. Leaving me to question the care of my child at this facility (was this cup ever cleaned before use????). Everything happens for a reason. Clearly it wasn't meant to be for me and my child. This clearly is not a day care bashing stunt, I listed the pros AND cons, this is just a notice to those looking for day care providers to be very careful of who you choose to watch your children, ask the right questions during the interview process, and READ the fine print!!
