Hi parents, welcome to Horizon Hill Bilingual French Daycare, my home daycare in Potomac, MD! I’m the owner and main caregiver, and I am a mother of 4 children with 15 years of experience. I hold an Associates’ degree Business Administration and have my first-aid and CPR certifications. I run our family child care program with my assistant who is also a mother of 4 children! I started my career in education as a French teacher for school-aged children in Montgomery County. I then decided to focus on early education, and worked at several child care centers and preschools. Taking care and teaching young children has always made me happy. I love spending time with children, playing with them, and helping them learn. That's when I decided to open my own home daycare! My goal is to help young children build the skills they need to learn and grow through patience, nurturing and dedication.

From infancy to preschool to kindergarten, at Horizon Hill Bilingual French Daycare, your child will engage in fun and exciting early learning activities, specifically designed to meet her or his developmental needs. During our daily morning circle time, the children practice saying their names, learn about colors, and enjoy reading a book of the week. We also incorporate flashcards into our routine to help them learn essential skills they'll need for preschool. We offer a Bilingual French daycare, and our approach exposes your child at an early age to a second language. This has been proven to help children become more flexible problem solvers in a multicultural world. We focus not only on social and emotional skills, but also on movement and motor skills.

We offer full-time and part-time daycare, for infants as young as 3 weeks old, and also provide care for toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. I can provide drop-in child care as needed, and we do offer before and after school care for older children, up to 12 years old. We’re open from 7 am to 6pm, Monday through Wednesday and from 7 am to 5:30 pm, Thursday to Friday. Transportation can be arranged and we provide lunch and snacks to the children in our care (we’re a peanut-free and tree-nut free daycare.)

I've invested in my daycare facility to create an inviting and stimulating environment for children. Our bright and spacious area features excellent lighting, designated spaces for art and circle time, as well as wall decor along with educational posters and children's artwork. We keep our toys, puzzles, and hand games neatly organized on a large shelf. Additionally, we have interactive walkers and bouncers to help young children learn about colors, shapes, and numbers.
