Skye's Daycare, Silver Spring

My son has been attending Skye’s Daycare for three months now and I have to say that Omaira & Blanca go ABOVE & BEYOND what we ever expected and what is offered at most facilities. I spent months interviewing several daycare providers and was not impressed with the quality of care offered & I was getting discouraged. But at our first meeting I was instantly impressed by Omaira’s energy & spirit. My son was instantly comfortable & asked to be held by her mother & coworker Blanca, who has a very sweet & calming presence. This says something because he generally does not want to be held by people he does not know well, and he went to her within minutes after meeting her. When interviewing with Omaira I was impressed that she knew all of the children’s birthdays by heart and had binders full of pictures of the children she has cared for over the years, and had a sparkle in her eye as she told stories about each & their little quirks. It was easy to see that she genuinely loves what she does & she is engaged and paying attention to the children. We are so glad that we found Omaira & Blanca at Skye’s Daycare. They are a vital part of what makes our family work as a unit. My son truly enjoys his time in their care & he is learning so much. We have seen noticeable improvement in his verbal, motor & social skills. The different activities they plan each day keep him engaged & excited to learn. The picture updates throughout the day make us feel close to him and included in his daily activities while we are apart. And the time & effort they put into creating the monthly picture day set ups are above & beyond what we ever expected. The facility is always clean & tidy. Omaira greets us every morning with more gusto than my coffee gives me haha! They work SO HARD & we can not thank Omaira & Blanca enough! I highly recommend Skye’s Daycare to any family looking for high quality care for their little one while they work.

A caring, academic, fun and safe environment for children. Both my children have gone here and are thriving because of it. I would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a in-home option. They are wonderful!!!

I LOVE Skye's Daycare!!! I have had two children at Skye's and wish I could put my twins there but due to logistic issues it didn't work out. With my first child, I was nervous when I first had to leave him at daycare but that nerviousness quickly went away and I completely trusted them with my child(ren). Omaira and her mother have struck a perfect balance between a warm and nurturing environment and structure and learning. I have grown to love this family and still find myself reaching out to them for advice. I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone.
