Aquia Harbour Preschool (AHPS) is a non-profit, cooperative one-room schoolhouse nestled in the trees of beautiful Aquia Harbour in Stafford, Virginia. Aquia Harbour Preschool teachers have built a curriculum that is second to none. Not only do our teachers have degrees in Education, which creates a wonderful classroom environment, but they are also mothers themselves! Since 1977 we have proudly enriched children’s lives by creating an excellent learning environment and life experience for them. AHPS is a non-profit cooperative (co-op) association whose existence depends solely upon the support of its membership. Parents are responsible for the organization and the administration of the school. A co-op recognizes that parents are the primary educators of the young child and, in return for the parent's work and commitment, provides the opportunity to share in their child's first academic experience and steps toward independence.
