To long; didn’t read (TL;DR): Under the care of Ms. Jones and over the course of 3 months our 9 month old daughter received a bruise on her nose which was never adequately explained and our daughter fell on her head receiving a knot on her forehead which took several weeks to heal.
When my husband and I decided to go with Ms. Jones we did tons of research on her and when we interviewed her Ms. Jones raved about her many accomplishments in the community and her history working with children. We also searched the database prior to hiring her, and found that there were “no non-compliance found”, however we do not believe that we gained the type of supervision over our child of which she raved to us about. Our daughter incurred 2 injuries while under her care over a course of 3 months. Our daughter was a baby 9 to 11 months. The first injury, when I picked up our daughter she had a bruise on her nose and she could not explain how the bruise occurred. She offered reasons such as she slide down her leg while she was feeding her or that it occurred when our daughter was sleeping, but we never did get an exact reason for the injury. The second injury was the major one; under Ms. Jones care our daughter fell and had a giant knot on her head this resulted in her having to go to the ER. To this day she has never apologized or expressed remorse about the nature of each incident. Some of the more minor issues were that There were times when her phone would not work, and doorbell would not work. This was unsettling. As a parent, being able to have access to your child’s caregiver, and to your child should not be met with such difficulty. We have since quickly removed our daughter from under her care. We do not recommend Ms. Jacqueline Jones.
