Hi parents, welcome to Parklawn Spanish Bilingual Kids Daycare, a small family child care program in Alexandria, VA! I am the owner and main caregiver, and I have 18 years of experience working with young children. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and I'm also CPR and First-aid certified, we well as MAT trained (I can administer medication to the children in my care if necessary). Before opening my own daycare many years ago, I worked for 10 years at another licensed home daycare, at a child care center, and kindergarten. As you can see, I have plenty of experience so you can rest assured that your little one will receive quality care and early education. My in-home daycare is small, to ensure that your child receives plenty of individual attention (I will take a maximum of 4 children).

I use a Montessori-inspired teaching philosophy that focuses on early stimulation and education, as well as nutrition. My early learning curriculum also emphasizes socio-emotional development, language learning, as well as math and science. At my daycare, your child will have the opportunity to become bilingual at a young age since I offer a Bilingual Spanish child care program. Kids will also be introduced to physical activity and sports as part of their development, and they will enjoy plenty of outdoor playtime (weather permitting) since I have a large backyard.

My family child care program is open year-round from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. If needed, I can offer weekend care on Saturday and Sunday, and evening care until midnight (please email to ask about the rates for extended weekend and evening care, and note that standard tuition is for regular hours only). I provide full-time care for infants as young as 4 weeks, as well as toddlers through preschoolers up to 5 years old. I serve lunch and snacks to all children in my care (included in the tuition). I am also open in the summer and have a fun summer camp program!

Parklawn Spanish Bilingual Kids Daycare is in the Parklawn neighborhood of Lincolnia, Alexandria (near Parklawn Elementary School).
