Our Preschool was established in 1954 as a cooperative nursery school, to serve families in the community and over the years has grown into a beautiful full and half day Reggio Emilia inspired place of learning and joy! At Alhambra Methodist Preschool we provide a safe place for children to learn, play and develop at their own pace. We serve children, ages two and a half through five years old in a loving atmosphere of respect and kindness. Our teachers hold the required coursework to teach preschool children and are honored to serve you and your family. Alhambra Methodist Preschool offers a Reggio inspired program emphasizing personal values and respect for oneself, others and the community. We believe that through a variety of hands-on experiences, children learn about themselves, their neighbors and the world in which they live. We encourage and support a curriculum of developmentally age appropriate practices and activities for young children and a kindergarten readiness program for 4 & 5 year olds.
