Welcome to Annandale Terrace Kids Corner, my warm in-home daycare and preschool program in Annandale, VA. Located in the Annandale Terrace neighborhood, just off Little River Turnpike and near the Columbia Pike intersection, my licensed childcare facility offers a great location for families commuting to work. I’m just minutes away from major routes such as I-495, making drop-offs and pickups convenient. At Annandale Terrace Kids Corner, I provide flexible hours and program options to meet working families’ needs. My doors are open from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, offering full-time care for infants as young as 3 months. I also care for toddlers, preschoolers, and even provide before and after-school care for children up to 10 years old. Also, I have a fun-filled summer camp and can provide drop-in care for occasional and unexpected needs. I strive to offer an all-inclusive childcare facility, and to accommodate children with special needs (please inquire to discuss your situation). To ensure all children are safe, including those with allergies, I run a peanut-free and tree-nut-free daycare. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are all included in the tuition for children enrolled full-time, making sure your little ones are ready for their daily adventures!

I am the proud owner and primary caregiver at Annandale Terrace Kids Corner. I have over 25 years of experience in early childhood education and hold a Child Development Associate's Degree. Children are everything to me! I believe in learning through play and see every child as a unique individual with their own strengths and needs. Communication is key in my approach, and I ensure to keep parents updated with their child’s progress and daily activities. I offer the best care, engaging outdoor activities, and also provide potty-training support.

Our day begins with warm greetings and breakfast to fuel the kids for the fun day ahead. Younger children have their diapers changed, and toddlers and preschoolers take turns in the restroom for potty training. We then gather for circle time, where we read stories, sing songs, and engage in conversations to boost their communication skills. After circle time, children enjoy free play, where they can choose to color, or explore other creative activities. After a mid-morning snack, we head outdoors for some fresh air and active play in our safe, fenced backyard and playground area. Lunchtime is next, before another diaper change and potty training. Then, all the children settle down for a nap in our cozy nap room. After nap time, we dive into more structured activities like building blocks or LEGOs, fostering their problem-solving skills and creativity. If the weather is nice, we go outside again to ensure they get ample physical activity. As the day winds down, we prepare the children for pickup, sharing highlights of their day with parents.

At Annandale Terrace Kids Corner, my curriculum is designed to nurture young minds. I offer a bilingual Spanish daycare, offering lessons in English, Spanish, but also American Sign Language. Activities are varied and engaging, including arts and crafts, music and movement, storytelling, and outdoor exploration. I believe in the importance of education that combines fun with learning, helping children develop critical skills in a joyful and supportive environment. My facility includes a multipurpose room, a nap room for quiet and rest, and a large outdoor play area that is securely fenced.
