The Owner & Caregiver
The owner of Park Glen Heights Kiddie Corner is a mother of two with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts. She has extensive experience in early childhood education and speaks multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. This multilingual ability allows her to connect with families from diverse backgrounds and create an inclusive environment for the children in her care.
With CPR and first aid certifications, she prioritizes the safety and well-being of every child, ensuring that each one receives personalized attention and care. Her approach is to treat every child as if they were her own, providing a secure and loving environment where children can thrive.
Programs & Hours
The daycare operates from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, and accepts children from 3 months to 4 years old for both full-time and part-time care. Standard tuition covers not more than 10 hours of care per day. Healthy and nutritious meals are provided, including lunch and snacks. All meals are peanut-free and tree-nut-free, ensuring the safety of children with allergies. The meals are carefully prepared to be both delicious and balanced, giving children the energy they need throughout the day.
The programs offered include infant care (a nurturing environment where babies receive individualized care, engage in sensory activities, and enjoy tummy time), toddler care (children explore and learn through play, with activities designed to support their physical, social, and cognitive development), and a preschool program for children 3-4 years old (the program prepares children for kindergarten).
Curriculum & Daily Activities
The curriculum is designed to blend play-based and academic teaching philosophies. This approach ensures that children are engaged in learning while also having fun through hands-on experiences.
A typical day starts with music and movement activities to energize the children. Yoga is often incorporated into the routine to promote physical well-being and mindfulness. Children also have the opportunity to enjoy outdoor play in the nearby community park or in the daycare's safe, fenced backyard. Activities include water play, ball games, and exploration of the natural surroundings.
Reading is also an integral part of the daily routine, with story time sessions that help build language skills and comprehension. Children are also encouraged to use their imagination and creativity through arts and crafts, building with blocks, and engaging in role-playing games.
