Ravensworth Bilingual Spanish Schoolhouse, Annandale

Welcome to Ravensworth Bilingual Spanish Schoolhouse, my home-based child care and preschool program in Annandale, VA! I’m the owner and lead teacher of this nurturing daycare and high-quality early education program. I have over 10 years of experience and hold a Child Development Associates Degree and I’m CPR & First-aid certified. I can also administer medication to the children in my care since I’m a MAT trained. As a teacher and mother myself, I understand how important, yet difficult, to find for the best caregiver for your little one. At my daycare, I create a comfortable and home-like environment where every child feels safe and loved. However, I am a professional early childhood educator and also strive to provide a quality early learning program.

I believe that each child is unique and thus, they need a different type of approach for them to learn and grow at their own pace. Every child is guided and engaged in age-appropriate activities to reach their potential in all developmental areas such as physical, socio-emotional and cognitive skills. My program uses the Teaching Strategies Curriculum and a play-based approach to encourage all kids to learn while having fun and making new friends. This program encourages children to participate in educational and hands-on activities and teaches them to express themselves. I also provide a structured program on a daily basis with an emphasis on Creative Arts. I work on getting my students ready for school through my preschool program that includes daily craft activities, songs, stories, water play, gardening, circle time and so much more! My program also offers a bilingual Spanish program - a wonderful opportunity for your child to become bilingual at a young age!

My home daycare and preschool is open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, from Monday through Friday. I can provide full-time care for children 12 months to 4 years old. I also provide meals to all attending kids in my care: I serve breakfast at 9 am, lunch at 12 pm, and snack at 3 pm (included in the tuition and I run a peanut & tree-nut free environment).

I offer a great space where children can play, learn, and grow. My facility is well-lit and it is set up like a preschool classroom, creating a stimulating environment. It's organized with cubbies and bins for smaller toys, along with designated play centers tailored to different age groups. I have a wide selection of toys and activity sets that cater to both infants and toddlers. I also have a sensory table and a designated craft area for daily creative activities.

Ravensworth Bilingual Spanish Schoolhouse is located in Annandale VA, in the Ravensworth Groove neighborhood.
