Welcome to Andy's Room Child Care where "Serious Learning Stems from Enthusiastic Exploration! Andy's Room is a 12 year old State licensed family childcare program owned and operated by Andrea Cotman. Andrea is a wife, mother and more recently a grandmother! Andrea began Andy's Room Child Care in 2007 after spending 20 years as a nanny and a preschool teacher. Our goal each day is to make learning a fun experience in a safe, loving environment! We know that children learn best by "doing it themselves" and our program is exploration based and semi structured to ensure their success. Andy's Room is conveniently located near the Pentagon, at 395 and Glebe Road! Please contact me for a tour/orientation, I would love to talk to you about your childcare needs and how we can help!

I love the community environment. I value the social skills my child learns from being in a combined-age environment. Social and emotional intelligence are things I depend on daycare to teach, and my child learns how to interact with children who are older and younger than her.

My son has been at Andy’s Room Childcare for 2 years and we love it! My son spends time outside, eats nutritional meals, is learning, playing and having fun! Andrea comes highly recommend by the families she has cared for and it easy to see why by the love she shows the children.

We love Miss Andrea! Our daughter started at Miss Andrea's childcare almost two months ago, but she has taught her so much in such a short time. Miss Andrea communicates with us on a daily basis, and, when my daughter was home sick, she called that evening to check in and see how she was feeling.
