Our facility is open year–round from between 6:30 am 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer various flexible options such as full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 6 weeks, as well as toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children up to 12 years old.
Snacks are already included in the tuition (we can also provide lunch with an additional fee). Drop-in care is also available for your occasional child care needs. In the summer, we have a fun summer camp program that your little one will surely enjoy!
Our center has an open-door policy for parents, so you’re welcome to visit your child during our operation hours. This gives you the opportunity to see what your child is doing and at the same time, assess our staff and facility.
Curriculum
Little Learners Academy uses a Theme-based, structured curriculum. We aim to help each child develop physical, socio-emotional and cognitive skills. Our staff is very hands-on and always plans a daily schedule of activities focusing on specific skills to meet the individual and developmental needs. Daily activities include Reading & Writing, Math & Science, and Arts & Music. We have age-appropriate toys, books and educational materials accessible to the children. In addition to English, we provide Spanish lessons for our PS and PK classrooms.
Our Curriculum is tailored based on the child’s developmental milestones:
Infants(6 weeks-16 months): We ask parents to complete a form asking for important information necessary to meet their baby’s individual needs. Through our Tadpole App we provide a daily reports to our parents. This report includes everything about your child's day: meals, diapers, nap/sleep, activities and well as pictures (which are also sent our throughout the day).
Toddlers (16 months- 30 months): This is the stage where we teach children the concept of sharing and the time for them to play with others. We teach them colors and shapes and introduce theme related vocabulary. Teachers at this stage develop each child’s communication skills as well as fine and large motor skills.
Preschoolers (2 1/2 - 3's): We create a stimulating environment for our preschoolers through imaginative play and creative arts. At this stage, we introduce Phonics and our Spanish program. We also encourage them to participate in fun activities such as dancing, singing, exercising and much more. Teachers work with parents to foster the child’s learning and independence.
Pre-K (4's-5's): Our PK classroom is designed to prepare our children to be active learners so that they will be successful when they enter the public school system. The children in this classroom continue to be exposed to Phonics as well as our Spanish program. Each week the children enjoy a new theme and are introduced to it through ideas and discussions, books, art projects, games and more.
School-Age (kinder-5th grade): During the school year we offer a before and after school program. When public schools are closed our school-age children are welcome to attend Little Learners all day for an additional fee. During the summer months, we offer a fun-filled summer camp program.
