Clinton Acres Playhouse, Brandywine

Welcome to Clinton Acres Playhouse, my home-based daycare and preschool in Brandywine, MD. My child care facility is located in the Clinton Acres neighborhood (between Cheltenham, Clinton and Brandywine), near Branch Ave (route 5) and Crain Hwy (US-301).

I’m the owner and main child care provider and I have 7 years of child care and early childhood education experience. I hold an MBA degree as well as CPR & First-aid certifications. I’m also a MAT trained, so I can administer medication to all children in my care if needed. As a mother of a baby myself, I will treat your little one as if he or she were my own!

It has always been my greatest passion to work with, and care for children. I believe there is nothing more rewarding than being able to invest physically, mentally, and emotionally into the life of a child. Being able to be an influential part of the foundation of the life of a child is priceless. As a child care provider and early educator, my goal is to bring out the best in every child I work with, and to help them discover the little leader within them.

Clinton Acres Playhouse follows the Play-based learning approach and uses the Creative Curriculum. I offer indoor and outdoor activities including free play, arts & crafts to encourage individual creativity, structured learning such as learning colors, shapes, letters, and numbers, with weekly themed activities. I promote and support reading to and with the children. I allow children to express themselves by understanding emotions and how to manage them using positive measures.

My family child care and preschool program is open all throughout the year from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers between the age of 6 weeks and 5 years old, including children with special needs. If you only need occasional child care, drop-in care is the best option for you. Lunch, snack, and dinner is provided to all full-time enrolled kids, and these are all included in the tuition. My program offers your child a warm, comfortable, welcoming home away from home where your child will be safe and cared for. We also offer potty training assistance. I hope to see you soon!
