Hi there! My name is Carly. I have been caring for children for 23 years, I started as a babysitter for friends and family. For two years I was a nanny for three families. Soon after that I started my own family and was fortunate enough to stay at home with them for seven years. After going back to work outside the home for a few years, my kids wanted me home with them again. My love for children and my kids wanting me home is why i decided to open an in home daycare. Currently, I have five of my kids at home ranging in ages 17 to our newest and last baby who was born in March. My oldest daughter Brooke, is married with a family of her own.
Having a daycare while parenting five children at the same time has been a valuable and great experience for all of us. My kids have come to know and love the children in my care. My sons, Garrett, Gavin and Grant often work at my daycare playing, doing art projects and engaging in imaginary play. My oldest son Garrett even works at a daycare at Urban Flex Fitness when he's not working in mine! We are definitely a daycare family. They're learning to be nurturing to their future children as a result. I'm confident that they will be patient, kind and loving parents if they so choose.
My goal as a daycare provider is to provide a safe, loving and enriching environment for children under the age of four*. I believe children learn the most through play, and interacting with their peers while giving them opportunities to grow, learn and explore. For children two and older, I offer preschool curriculum three days of the week.
I provide a large dedicated room for learning, play and age appropriate activities and a smaller room for quiet play and napping. My outdoor area is equipped with structures to climb, push toys, sand and water area, ride on toys and an art area. I also provide a healthy, balanced menu of meals for breakfast, lunch and two snacks.
