Arora Hills Playhouse, Clarksburg

Arora Hills Playhouse is a home-based daycare and preschool in Clarksburg, MD. The child care facility is located in the Arora Hills neighborhood, near Hallie Wells Middle School. The daycare is right off Ridge Rd (route 27) and only 5 minutes' drive away from Frederick Rd (route 355).

I’m the owner and main caregiver of this nurturing daycare and high-quality early education program. I’m a mother myself with 12 years of experience and an Associate's Degree in Computer Programming as well as an Associate's Degree in Arts. Before opening my own daycare, I worked in a Montessori school. In addition to my child care credentials, I'm a student of Early Child Care Education. I’m CPR & First-aid certified, as well as MAT trained so I can administer medication to all children in my care. I also hold a Maryland Child Care Credential level III. Please be aware that I do not accept children with allergies.

My home daycare and preschool is open year-round from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time care for infants as young as 6 months, as well as toddlers through preschoolers up to 5 years old. All kids attending my program are served with peanut-free snacks in the morning and afternoon (already included in the tuition). I can also provide lunch with an additional fee. For older kids up to 12 years old, I offer before and after school care (the closest schools to my facility are Snowden Farm Elementary School and Wilson Wims Elementary School).

My goal is to provide a safe and fun environment where children can learn and grow at their own pace. I believe that learning should be fun and children should be respectful to each other, adults, pets, and property. I’m dedicated to helping my students to enhance their socio-emotional, communication, and problem-solving skills and develop their fine and gross motor skills.

I use the Montessori Curriculum and follow the Play-based learning approach – allowing my students to learn through play and lots of fun educational activities. My daycare has several learning stations such as practical life, sensorial, manipulative, blocks, puzzles, books, language, and culture. Every child is encouraged to participate in daily activities such as Arts & Crafts, Music, Language, Cooking, Science, Math, Reading, Story Time, Games/Puzzles and much more! If weather permits, I always take children out twice a day to the community playground near my house. I also have a small garden area that I plan to use for the children. In addition to English, I speak Farsi and Persian and upon your request, I can teach your child these foreign languages.

The health and safety of the children under my care are also my top priorities, especially during this pandemic. My COVID procedures include sanitizing countertops and tables, which “never stops”. I clean and disinfect before children arrive, throughout the day, and at 5:30 pm. I also have a professional deep cleaning every Friday.
