Grandma's Playhouse, Edgewood

Grandma's Playhouse is a home care provider located in Edgewood, MD. Grandma's Playhouse is run by Alene, a licensed daycare provider. I operate on getting children ready for the challenges of Kindergarten. Along with Pre-K curriculum, children are taught how to act in the classroom environment. We learn to obey rules that will be expected of them in school -- such as not running inside, taking turns, and bathroom etiquette. All children are taught responsibility, consequences, privacy and concentration on words that will apply to their every day lives. This is a learning environment from the time they walk through the door. Any experience that can be used as a tool to learn is used wisely. There is also fun time! I provide books, markers, crayons and toys too numerous to mention. Children are given free play time both inside the 244 square foot playroom and outside in the securely fenced in yard.
