About Me:
I’m the owner and main caregiver of this licensed home-based daycare, and I’ve been in the early childhood field for about a decade now. I’m CPR & First-aid certified and currently obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education.
Before opening my own program, I worked for other licensed child care facilities, so I’m well experienced and knowledgeable. If you choose me, I will make sure to provide your child with safe, high-quality care. I love working with kids, and I have a passion for helping them become lifelong learners!
Curriculum:
Centerway Bilingual Playhouse is a bilingual Spanish child care and preschool program. This is a wonderful opportunity for your little one to become bilingual and learn Spanish at a young age (in addition to English, of course).
I use the Creative Curriculum and Play-based learning to make learning more fun and exciting. I have a good selection of age-appropriate learning materials, such as manipulatives, musical toys, books, puzzles, and art supplies. In the morning, there's circle time where children learn the days of the week, weather, months of the year, songs etc. The infants have table time in the highchairs to do sensory activities.
The children have free play and if the weather permits, we go outside to my private playground where we spend our outdoor playtime. I also offer extra-curricular activities, such as arts & crafts and music. My goal is to make sure children are prepared for school and know the basic shapes, colors, numbers, and basic sight words and can spell their name.
My space has educational charts posted on my walls, colorful carpets and mats, and children's artwork on display. There are small activity sets that encourage motor development, as well as board games and larger playsets for toddlers. There is a separate nap room and Montessori-style play centers.
Program:
I’m open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer full-time care for infants as young as 3 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old, including children with special needs.
I provide peanut and tree-nut free lunch and snacks to all kids attending my program (included in the tuition). To prevent any type of disease, we wash our hands between every activity, before naps, snacks, and lunch. I also disinfect after everyone leaves and deep clean on the weekend.
